Luminous Productions’ Forspoken has received some extensive new gameplay courtesy of Game Informer, showcasing the various aspects of the action RPG over roughly eight minutes. While the tail-end features a previously-seen mini-boss, the rest is all about combat and traversal. We also get to see how the Break transforms places in different ways, specifically with a town flipped on its side.

Along with looking cool, it presents unique parkour opportunities and challenges for Frey. Dashing and dodging is one part of her movement kit but she’s also capable of using a levitation spell to carefully float down. This is governed by a stamina-like mechanic so you have to be careful that it doesn’t run out while descending, lest you die from fall damage.

The trailer also highlights the different types of spells (which you can learn more about here), from summoning fire monsters and slicing enemies to creating enormous eruptions. Forspoken is slated to release on October 11th for PS5 and PC.
