Forza Horizon 5 Already Has 800,000 Players on PC and Xbox – Report

The highly anticipated racing sim launches day one on Xbox Game Pass but it already has a high number of Premium Edition owners.

Playground Games’ Forza Horizon 5, the latest title in its open world racing series, is out worldwide in a few days. However, despite being available on Xbox Game Pass at launch, many seem to have purchased the Premium Edition to gain access early. According to VGC, there are already about 800,000 players on PC and Xbox in-game as per its Hall of Fame Leaderboard.

The Premium Edition costs $99/£85 but Game Pass subscribers can also purchase its add-ons, which includes early access, at $45/£40. So this could potentially mean its earned somewhere between $36 million to $79 million before its officially available to all players. That’s pretty good and speaks to other potential benefits that Game Pass can offer.

Forza Horizon 5 releases worldwide on November 9th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. It’s currently the highest rated new game of 2021 as per Metacritic – check out our official review here for more details.
