With about a week to go before its early access launch, Playground Games’ Forza Horizon 6 has received a launch trailer. Milk Talk’s “Enchanting Stranger”, last heard in the Prologue gameplay reveal, takes center stage, and it’s the perfect music for all the racing that follows. There’s even a potential tribute to Ken Block for drifting fans.
Otherwise, the launch trailer highlights the sheer variety of scenery and vehicles players will encounter in Japan. You’ll race through avenues with sakura trees, on the Rainbow Bridge leading into Tokyo City, and across snow-covered mountains. The goal is to ultimately become a Horizon Legend by earning Wristbands throughout Festival competitions.
However, a major part of the experience is just discovering the country and all of its wonders. Fog of war means having to actually drive out and discover things, which can lead to Aftermarket vehicles with significant modifications. You may even discover some new Forza Edition cars that sport much more extreme tune-ups than in previous games.
Forza Horizon 6 is playable on May 15th for Xbox Series X/S and PC players who own the Premium Edition, with reviews going live the day prior. Standard Edition owners can start their journey on May 19th. Unfortunately, PS5 players will need to wait till later this year.
