Playground Games' latest title in the open-world racing series, contrary to expectations, isn't ducking Grand Theft Auto 6.
"I think this map that we've created for Japan, or Horizon's version of Japan, is big, but also dense," says art director Don Arceta.
Playground's Don Arceta confirms that it will "be following in the footsteps" of Forza Horizon 5 in terms of car selection.
However, players can also expect "everyday details" to reflect the changing seasons, like "station chimes or summer wind bells."
"We think players will be blown away by the open world of Japan that we have built," said Playground's art director Don Arceta.
