Hi-Fi Rush has kicked off the new year for Xbox’s first party portfolio in excellent (and surprising) fashion, but there’s plenty more still to come over the coming months. Minecraft Legends and Redfall are launching in April and May respectively, while Starfield is another one of Microsoft’s major first party releases expected to launch sometimes this year. And then there’s Forza Motorsport.
Turn 10’s racing sim, however, might be coming out a little later than previously expected. Upon its announcement last year, Forza Motorsport was given a Spring 2023 launch window, though according to journalist Jeff Grubb, the game has been internally delayed beyond that.
Speaking recently in an episode of his Game Mess Decides podcast, Grubb said that based on what he’s heard, Forza Motorsport has been pushed back by a few months and is now expected to launch sometime in the second half of 2023- though he is unsure why that delay hasn’t been officially announced. Specifically, Grubb says the game is targeting a Q3 launch date- though he says it could be “a little later than that”.
Forza Motorsport is in development for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
