Gamescom Opening Ceremony Will See Announcements From THQ Nordic, Deep Silver, Ubisoft, and More

It seems like we have quite a bit to look forward to.

Gamescom is Europe’s largest games show, and it will have the appropriate amount of big name reveals this year from publishers as a result, with the likes of Microsoft, Nintendo, Activision, and Capcom having announced major lineups for the event already. Now, in a press release sent out, Gamescom has detailed the games we can expect to see announced at its opening ceremony, which will be held 11am CET on August 21.

The new announcements will include the very first proper trailer for Life is Strange 2 (so far we have only received teaser), a mysterious new announcement from Ubisoft (we have no actual details regarding what it could be, though), a new announcement from Deep Silver (bear in mind Deep Silver publishes all Sega and Atlus games in Europe, so it could well just be a localization announcement), a brand new game from THQ Nordic in one if its existing IP, and a new game by Bandai Namco, developed by a European developer, which they have previously teased.

So, yes- it sounds like there is a bit to look forward to. As always, GamingBolt will have your back with the latest coverage, so stay tuned.
