343 Industries has been making some very positive changes with Halo Infinite’s multiplayer, from the addition of dedicated playlists for Slayer, Fiesta and more to revamping Challenges. Its Fracture: Tenrai Event Pass, the first of its kind, saw a significant amount of backlash for many reasons as well. En route to its return on January 4th 2022, the development team shared some changes that are coming.
It first noted that the Yoroi armor seen in promotions and touted as free to earn was an “internal failure” of communication. The developer wants to be clear in the future about what is free and what can be purchased from the store. To remedy this, future armor and items that were to be available in the store will replace XP Boosts and Challenge Swaps in the Event Pass.
Past Tier 10, players will be able to earn the full Kabuto armor and pose. There will also be more Event Challenges to ensure constant progress while the event is ongoing. With regards to the in-game store, the team is looking at ways to make customization more rewarding, whether it’s free or paid. It’s looking at customization between cores, emblems and coatings as one avenue.
