Halo Infinite Has a Single Shot Camera Like God of War – Rumour

343 Industries seem to be taking a page out of God of War's book.

Microsoft and 343 Industries have big expectations to live up to with Halo Infinite. After a troubling few years with the series where it has lost some of the lustre that was always attached to it, Halo Infinite is being billed as a return to form, a reinvention of the series’ formula, the shot in the arm it has been in need for for some years now.

But how exactly is it going to do that? Though 343 Industries have remained extraordinarily tight-lipped about the sequel up until now, some interesting new details have emerged on the ways it will be breathing new life into the franchise. In a recent episode of the Real Deal Xbox podcast (which you can view below), Dealer (purportedly with insider information) stated that for one of the ways it will be doing that, it will be taking a page out of another recent successful reinvention of a beloved franchise- 2018’s God of War.

Though Dealer did not go into detail about what exactly that means, more info on that soon emerged through a different source. Over on ResetEra, when a poster wondered if this means Halo Infinite will have a one shot single take camera like God of War did, known Microsoft insider Klobrille responded, “Bingo.”

As is the case with any unverified rumour or leak, take this with a grain of salt for now. But if this does turn out to be true, it will be a fascinating decision by 343, to say the least, and it’ll be interesting to see how they reconcile Halo’s story and storytelling with a one shot camera.

Halo Infinite is due for its grand gameplay unveiling next month, so hopefully we’ll know more about this soon. Stay tuned for updates on that.

The game is out later this year for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
