The recent Inside Xbox broadcast was all about third party games coming to the Xbox Series X, from several new announcements to updates on games we already know about. But what about first party content? Microsoft have made it clear in recent days that lots of new information will be shared on the Xbox Game Studios front in the coming months as well, and before the reveals in today’s show kicked off, they provided another brief update on upcoming first party plans.

In the early minutes of the show, head of Xbox Game Studios Matt Booty came on-screen to re-iterate that Microsoft has another event planned for July that will be focusing almost entirely on games in development at its various first party studios. While he did not tell us what we can expect to see, he did mention one game one in particular that will be at the show- Halo Infinite. So two years on from its announcement, we will finally get our first real look at its gameplay a couple months from now.

Hopefully, a release date will also be announced at the show. 343 Industries shifted to remote work a while back, and since then, there haven’t been a lot of updates on how development is progressing, other than Microsoft stating that if the game were to get delayed, they would not be delaying the launch of the Xbox Series X because of that.

Halo Infinite is currently planned to release this holiday as a launch title for the Xbox Series X. It will also launch on the Xbox One and PC.
