After many long years of development and a major delay, 343 Industries’ Halo Infinite is now available worldwide for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. The multiplayer component launched last month but the campaign is now live (along with being available on Xbox Game Pass). It sees Master Chief venturing to Zeta Halo to fight The Banished.
Unlike previous titles, Halo Infinite utilizes a more pseudo-open world design. Levels are much more expansive than before and filled with numerous side-objectives to complete like rescuing UNSC Marines, exploring key locations and taking down High Value Targets. The main missions see Chief attempting to retake the ring from The Banished while learning more about The Weapon, his new AI companion, and the fate of Cortana.
Unfortunately, those playing through the campaign won’t be able to replay missions – if there are collectibles like Skulls that you’re interested in, it’s good idea to search for them now. 343 Industries will be addressing the issue (along with adding additional playlists to multiplayer) if you’re keen on waiting though. Stay tuned in the meantime.
