Halo Infinite Multiplayer Creative Director is Leaving 343 Industries

Tom French has announced that he is leaving 343 Industries after over eleven years at the studio, having beean multiplayer creative director since 2016.

343 Industries continues to work towards a recovery for Halo Infinite, which has seen a significant drop-off in its player base since launch owing to disappointments with support for the shooter. Behind-the-scenes, the studio has seen a number of significant changes lately, and another key figure has now departed the team.

Taking to Twitter, 343 Industries’ Tom French recently announced that he is leaving the studio “to head off to new adventures.” French had been at 343 Industries for over eleven years, having been multiplayer creative director since 2016- a role he position he also held for Halo Infinite.

A number of key figures have departed from 343 Industries in recent months, including the likes Lead Multiplayer Modes and Systems Designer Andrew Witts, Lead Narrative Designer Aaron Linde, and even 343 Industries head and founder Bonnie Ross. Recently, it was also reported that owing to development issues, the studio is dropping its internal Slipspace Engine in favour of Unreal. Read more on that through here.
