Halo Infinite may have launched, but 343 Industries is well aware of the fact that there’s plenty of work left to do with the shooter, given its newly adopted live service model. From this point forward, however, the studio is going to be doing that without one key member of its development team.

Andrew Witts, who was at 343 Industries for over three years as the Lead Multiplayer Modes and Systems Designer on Halo Infinite, recently took to Twitter to announce that he’s leaving the studio. “It’s been an honor leading the MP design team over these years,” Witts wrote in his message, before adding that he’s “going to take some time off to relax and recharge” before moving on to “what’s next”.

Prior to Halo Infinite, Witts also worked at ArenaNet on Guild Wars 2, at Boss Key Productions on Lawbreakers, and at Ubisoft on Rainbow Six Siege.

As for what lies ahead for Halo Infinite, there’s plenty in the works at 343 Industries. Season 2: Lone Wolves was recently revealed and detailed, while leaks have suggested that support studio Certain Affinity is also working on a separate multiplayer mode for the game. That said, the wait for campaign co-op and Forge is going to be a little longer than expected.
