Hot Wheels Unleashed Crosses 2 Million Sales

It's had over eight million players across all platforms, including Game Pass and PS Plus, and over 939 years spent in-game.

In a new press release, Milestone announced that Hot Wheels Unleashed has sold over two million units. Its last first major sales milestone was in December 2021, when it sold over one million. The developer also confirmed over eight million players across all platforms, including Game Pass and PlayStation Plus.

Players have spent 939 years in-game with over 1.3 million pieces of user-generated content. Out of the numerous vehicles available, the Hot Wheels Twin Mill 2021 was the most used vehicle.

Mike DeLaet, Mattel’s global head of digital gaming, stated, “We are always excited to find great partners that help us bring Mattel’s brands to fans in all-new ways. Milestone has done a phenomenal job with Hot Wheels Unleashed, and we’re thrilled that the Hot Wheels community has loved the game as much as we loved creating it.”

Milestone CEO Luisa Bixio also said, “Hot Wheels boasts one of the most engaged and passionate fan bases of any brand in the world. We’re proud that Mattel trusted us to bring the brand to life in Hot Wheels Unleashed, and so pleased with how consumers have responded.”

Hot Wheels Unleashed is available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Check out our review here.
