While Microsoft’s Forza Horizon 5 sucked up much of the air this year in the racing category, there was another smaller title that came somewhat out of nowhere with Hot Wheels Unleashed. The game saw you live out your fantasies of racing all your little Hot Wheels to your heart’s content. It seems the game also struck a cord as it looks to be a pretty successful affair.

Today developer Milestone announced via a press release that the game had topped 1 million sales across both physical and digital releases. It marks also the fastest-selling title in Milestone’s history, which includes other racing series such as Ride and MotoGP. While giving no specifics about the future, the company also signaled that more content and support would be coming well into 2022.

Hot Wheels Unleashed is available now across all major platforms. We were fans of the game even with some minor issues, and you can read our full review through here.
