Monster Hunter Rise Sales Hit 7.7 Million, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne at 8.8 Million

Monster Hunter World managed has hit 17.8 million units sold while Monster Hunter Stories 2 is at 1.4 million units sold as of December 31st 2021 .

In an update to its Platinum Titles titles, Capcom revealed the latest sales figures for titles have sold over one million units. As of December 31st 2021, it confirmed that Monster Hunter Rise had sold 7.7 million units with sales rising by 200,000.

Considering how this is right before the game’s PC launch in January 2022, the current total should be much higher. Monster Hunter World also continues to perform exceptionally well – it sold an additional 200,000 units for a lifetime total of 17.8 million units. Keep in mind that this is without factoring in sales of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition.

By itself, the Iceborne expansion has sold 8.8 million units with an additional 300,000 sold over time. Finally, there’s Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin which sold an additional 100,000 units since its last reported figure to hit 1.4 million sales in its lifetime.

Expect this year to continue being lucrative for the Monster Hunter franchise since Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak releases simultaneously for PC and Nintendo Switch in Summer 2022. More details on the expansion will be coming this Spring so stay tuned.
