Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Coming to Xbox and PlayStation on April 28th – Rumor

The release date could be announced during the upcoming Capcom Spotlight and coincide with Title Update 5's launch next month.

Though a new Capcom Spotlight is happening today at 2 PM PST, there have been few leaks. First, there’s the Twitch ad for a demo of Resident Evil 4 remake seemingly going live during the showcase, and then the rumor of Exoprimal releasing on July 14th. Add Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak’s release date for Xbox and PlayStation on top of that.

According to sources speaking to Insider Gaming, the expansion will release on April 28th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5. Title Update 5 is planned for April and has a returning Elder Dragon, so it could launch on all platforms simultaneously. A separate Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak Digital Event may happen en route to release, so stay tuned.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak launched in June 2022 for PC and Nintendo Switch and has received several free content updates. The base game was released this past January for Xbox and PlayStation. You can check out our review for the PS5 version here.
