Microsoft’s pipeline for the remainder of 2022 in terms of new releases is looking a little thin, but the company still does have a couple of notable games coming out between now and the end of the year. Obsidian Entertainment’s narrative adventure title Pentiment, which was unveiled in June, is one that has turned a few heads, not only because of the developer attached to the project but also because of its intriguing premise and ideas.
Upon announcement, Pentiment was given a November launch window, and now, Microsoft has confirmed the game’s specific release date. The game is part of the lineup that the company has brought to Gamescom, as part of which Microsoft has announced that Pentiment will launch on November 15. It will cost $19.99.
Shortly after Pentiment’s announcement, director Josh Sawyer said the game is more similar to Night of the Woods in terms of mechanics and structure than something like Disco Elysium, and will offer roughly 15-20 hours of gameplay. Read more on that through here.
When it launches, Pentiment will be available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC, and will also launch for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass day one.
