Pentiment

Obsidian Entertainment seems to be hellbent on becoming one of Microsoft’s most prolific studios. With the likes of Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2 already in the works and Grounded getting its full launch later this year, the studio has now announced another new game.

Pentiment is an investigative title with a period European setting that was leaked last year, and was hinted multiple times by its developers to be getting its announcement at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase.

Described as a narrative adventure game, Pentiment will Journeyman Artist Andreas Maler, who, in a time of great social interest, navigates issues such as murder, scandals, religious and political changes, and more. Developed by a team led by Josh Sawyer of Pillars of Eternity flame, it’s looking quite intriguing, not least because of its gorgeous art style. Check it out below.

Pentiment is due out for Xbox and PC in November.
