Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Free Demo Officially Announced

The sidescrolling Metroidvania action-platformer is set to launch for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC on January 18.

Prince of Persia’s long-awaited and long-overdue revival is just a few weeks away now, and as previously confirmed, the game received new trailer at The Game Awards (which was leaked ahead of time), focusing on its central narrative premise and, more importantly, announcing a demo.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will put players in the shoes of a new protagonist in the form of Sargon, a member of an elite order of warriors known as The Immortals. Tasked with scaling Mount Qaf in order to rescue the kidnapped prince, Sargon will grow progressively more powerful throughout his journey as his picks up abilities that will allow him the manipulate space and time, while also locking horns with a variety of deadly foes. Check out the trailer below for a glimpse of what the game will have in store.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft has also confirmed that Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will get a free demo on all platforms on January 11, a week ahead of the game’s release.

The full game, meanwhile, will launch on January 18 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
