2019 was an eventful year for French studio Quantic Dream, who finally turned into multiplatform studio after years of an exclusive partnership with Sony, and even saw many of their games releasing on PC. 2020, it seems, is going to be another big year for the studio.
Quantic Dream founder David Cage recently took to Twitter to post a belated new years message, in which he also teased that 2020 should be even more exciting for the studio than 2019 was, and that they will have “a lot of surprises come” in the year.
Quantic Dream received a capital investment from NetEase last year, which they plan to use to become multi-platform and multi-franchise studio, and perhaps even venture into third party publishing. Cage confirmed back in July 2019 that the studio was working on multiple titles, while he later also expressed an interest in making shorter games. Meanwhile, the studio also confirmed in January 2019 that it was working on new engine for its future games.
Quantic Dream’s Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls, and Detroit: Become Human all recently came out on PC.
