RAGE 2 Debuts on Top in UK Charts, Sales Down From RAGE 1

Asobo Studio's A Plague Tale: Innocence debuts in ninth place.

Despite mixed reviews, Bethesda’s RAGE 2 has debuted on top of the UK physical retail sales charts. According to UKIE and Gfk Chart-Track, the title has dethroned SIE Bend Studios’ Days Gone. However, its physical sales are quarter of its predecessor, RAGE, which launched in October 2011.

While the jury is out on digital sales, we do know that the PS4 version accounted for 57 percent of physical sales, as per GamesIndustry.biz. The Xbox One version consisted of 38 percent, while the PC version was the remaining 5 percent. Other new titles for the week ending May 18th include Asobo Studio’s A Plague Tale: Innocence, which debuted in ninth place, and Rebellion’s remaster of Sniper Elite V2, which debuted in 13th place.

Other noteworthy statistics include Days Gone suffering a 38 percent drop in sales, while Mortal Kombat 11 sales were down 47 percent. The usual suspects – like FIFA 19, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Grand Theft Auto 5 – continue to reign in the top 10, however. Check it out for yourself below.
