Resident Evil 3 Remake Confirmed, Out in April 2020

Resident Evil Resistance will be included along with the remake.

The leaks were correct: Resident Evil 3 is indeed being remade for current-gen consoles. The first gameplay for the same debuted and featured many familiar characters like Jill Valentine. Check it out below – the game is out on April 3rd 2020.

Though there was plenty of first person footage throughout, Resident Evil 3 appears to be an over-the-shoulder third person shooter as well. Players will deal with the outbreak of the T-Virus in Raccoon City, several hours before Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy arrive. The end sees a faint tease of the Nemesis (who isn’t properly seen but still very much a force of nature).

Interestingly, Capcom also announced that Resident Evil Resistance – the new name for its four player online co-op game Project Resistance – will be included. It’s essentially the game’s multiplayer component, which is pretty crazy considering how hefty the campaign should be. Resident Evil 3 is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC in April 2020 – stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
