Resident Evil Requiem Could Receive DLC Starring Alyssa Ashcroft – Rumor

Insider Dusk Golem reports hearing "murmurs" of DLC, but they need updates on its "status" ahead of the sequel's launch.

As much as Resident Evil Requiem is about moving forward, it’s also about paying tribute to the past. The fact that it’s revisiting Raccoon City and bringing back beloved icon Leon S. Kennedy is proof enough (and other past characters could very well appear). However, Capcom may look into exploring Alyssa Ashcroft’s perspective through DLC.

According to insider AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem, there have been “murmurs” of DLC starring Alyssa, though they’re yet to be “updated on the status of that.” While far from a confirmation, much less a leak, it wouldn’t be too out of left field.

The only footage we’ve seen of Alyssa thus far is in Wrenwood Hotel flashbacks, where she’s trying to lead her daughter, Grace, out. She’s killed by an unknown assailant, though based on their infection by Elpis, they could have been sent by Victor Gideon.

Alyssa may be playable throughout all this, but a separate DLC, focusing on events leading up to her death, is possible. Capcom could also take a different approach and perhaps showcase what she’s been up to since the aftermath of Resident Evil Outbreak, potentially leading up to Grace’s birth.

Resident Evil Requiem launches on February 27th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. Check out all the latest details from the recent Resident Evil Showcase (and more) here.
