When Resident Evil Village launched earlier this month, it unsurprisingly debuted on top of the weekly UK retail charts, but was pushed down to second place the following week with Mass Effect: Legendary Edition nabbing the top spot on its own debut. Now, Capcom’s survival horror game has retaken the top spot despite 61% drop in sales, seeing 44% its sales on PS4 and 29% on PS5 (via GamesIndustry).
Mass Effect, meanwhile, drops down to third place. It saw a 76% drop in sales from last week, and 72% of its sales this week came on the PS4, with the remaining 22% coming on Xbox One. Between the top games is the Switch exclusive Miitopia, which enjoys a decent debut, enjoying 36% higher launch sales when the game launched for the 3DS in 2017.
Rust: Console Edition was another new release last week, and though it didn’t make it into the top 10, it did debut in eleventh place, with 54% sales on PS4 and 46% on Xbox One. Meanwhile, with the likes of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Grand Theft Auto 5, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and the Switch version of Minecraft, the rest of the top 10 is full of familiar faces.
