In addition to the announcement of Sniper Elite V2 Remastered, as well as Sniper Elite 5 and Sniper Elite VR, Rebellion also announced in a press release today a port of Sniper Elite 3 for the Nintendo Switch. Sniper Elite 3: Ultimate Edition will be launching on the Nintendo hybrid platform later this year.
This marks the first time Sniper Elite 3 has launched on a Nintendo platform—Sniper Elite V2 launched on the Wii U (albeit in a severely compromised form), so the remaster hitting the Switch as it is is sort of like homecoming there. But Sniper Elite 3 will see its Nintendo debut for the first time with this. I’m sure players will appreciate getting to have the game on the go.
We don’t have any actual official gameplay footage or screens, but it’s not unreasonable to assume that it will look like the PS3/Xbox 360 versions of the game, and that it will come with all the DLC. Now we wait for Sniper Elite 4 to come over…
