Starfield Will Receive AMD FSR 3 Support on PC This Month

The feature will arrive before the next scheduled update, but it goes live next week on the Steam Beta Branch for PC players.

While rumors circulate about Starfield potentially coming to PS5, Bethesda Game Studios continues to add new features to the space-faring RPG. It announced that support for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 or FSR3 will arrive for PC players later this month.

Those on Steam can try the update beforehand via the Steam Beta Branch next week. Interestingly, FSR 3 support will go live before the game’s next “scheduled update.” Perhaps even more significant features are inbound for Starfield, like the previously confirmed new gameplay settings, including harsher survival and ship-building options.

Bethesda’s last update was its biggest yet for the title, implementing over 100 fixes and improvements. Along with eliminating bugs, it also improved the lighting in dozens of locations and the contact shadows for characters, clothing, etc. Check out the full details here.

Starfield is available for Xbox Series X/S and PC, with PS5 version rumoured to be in development. It’s seen over 13 million players as of December 2023, and paid expansion, Shattered Space, will launch later this year.
