This week was supposed to be the big kickoff week for gaming marketing. While E3 was canceled due to COVID-19 concerns, a slew of digital events were slated to take its place. Unfortunately, a lot of things are happening now and many decided it probably wasn’t the right time for these events, and now the last one has been delayed as well.

The Guerrilla Collection Showcase was announced last month and would feature a variety of announcements from indie developers and publishers. While it was originally slated to start this Saturday and run through the weekend, it will now be pushed back one week to next weekend. So instead of the 6th-8th, it will now be the 13th-15th. 

The show was said to feature several major titles, such as Baldur’s Gate 3, but alas, we will just have to wait it out. Guerrilla Collective Showcase joins every other gaming digital event this week in being delayed. We’ll keep you updated if more changes are announced.

Upcoming indie games showcase Guerrilla Collective already has the likes of 11 bit Studios, Coffee Stain Studios, Funcom and more showcasing their games next month. It even has Larian Studios ready to showcase Baldur’s Gate 3 and something related to the Divinity franchise. Even so, more studios have been confirmed to be joining the roster.

The 14 studios in question include Nightdive Studios, which is developing the System Shock Remake; Sega of America; New Blood Interactive which developed Amid Evil and Dusk; and many more. Check out the full list below:

The Guerrilla Collective will be keeping off its showcase on June 6th at 10 AM PT on Twitch. We’ll see Paradox Insider, consisting of announcements from Paradox Interactive, The PC Gaming and The Future Game Show taking place in that span. On June 7th, there will be more reveals. June 8th will see interviews with various developers and live gameplay demos.

Plenty of other announcements are also planned for June including Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City Wire. There’s also Sony’s rumored PS5 games showcase on June 3rd. Stay tuned for more details and updates as they arrive.

Among the many studios partaking in the upcoming Guerrilla Collective is Larian Studios. The developer is busy with Baldur’s Gate 3, its biggest RPG till date, but that won’t be the only game present during the three-day event. On Twitter, Larian Studios’ director of publishing Michael Douse confirmed that there would be a “couple Divinity announcement(s)”.

But hold on a second. This doesn’t necessarily mean the company is announcing a new game. Douse stated that, “We don’t have a new Divinity game on the cards right now.” However, he did say that the studio was “Playing around with Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Divinity: Original Sin 2’s characters. I love them too and I MISS them.”

It’s possible that Larian Studios announces a new large update for Divinity: Original Sin 2 which adds more even conversations and story content. That would be quite the undertaking considering the amount of additional dialogues crammed into the Definitive Edition. Maybe a paid expansion or proper epilogue for our characters? One can certainly hope.

There’s also the theory that Larian Studios announces remasters for the older Divinity games. Anything is possible but for now, it might pay to temper expectations. Stay tuned for more details on June 6th to 8th when the Guerrilla Collective takes place. The first day will have announcements from a variety of studios like Coffee Stain Studios, Paradox Interactive, 11 bit Studios and many more.

After some teasing from various developers on Twitter, Media Exchange and Kinda Funny Games Showcase have announced the Guerrilla Collective. From June 6th to 8th, the event will feature announcements from various indie developers, publishers and more. Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller will kick things off with Guerrilla Collective Live on Twitch at 10 AM PT on June 6th.

Paradox Insider, The PC Gaming Show and The Future Games Show (which will have reveals and developer interviews) will cap off the day’s news. On June 7th, there will be another online press event with June 8th having live gameplay demos and more interviews with developers. There are some fairly hefty studios taking part including 11 bit Studios, Coffee Stain Studios, Funcom, Larian Studios, Raw Fury, ZA/UM, Versus Evil and many more.

The event is part of IGN’s Summer of Gaming 2020, which will also have CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077, and GameSpot’s Play For All 2020.
