Since E3 was cancelled this year, tons of companies stepped up to take its place in various digital events. Much like E3, many of those were planned to kick off this month. But, 2020 being…2020, things have definitely not gone to plan. Sony pushed back their big PS5 blowout to an undefined date, and now it looks like IGN is doing the same.

IGN was planning a Summer of Gaming event that would see the participation of various publishers and developers (you can see more details through here). The event was planned to start at some point this week, but now IGN has decided it best to push the event back due to the events happening in the United States with mass protests and unrest. You can see the full details below.

They say that they will delay Summer of Gaming until June 8th, but also seems to keep open the fact that it could be delayed again depending on what the situation is like. Sony has yet to announce a new date for their PS5 showcase, for example, so right now we just kind of have to wait and see where things are at.
