According to the report, Blizzard has been accepting bids from Korean development studios that could potentially use the StarCraft and Overwatch IPs. The licensing for both IPs are said to be a package deal, along with rights to publish and service the games in the Japanese and Korean markets.

It is worth noting that both StarCraft and Overwatch are quite popular IPs in Korea. StarCraft, especially, has been credited as being one of the games to essentially birth the market for eSports as we know it in this day, thanks to the Korean market accepting the game with open arms.

According to MTN, the competition for this bidding war has been fierce owing to the popularity of the StarCraft IP in Korea. The report notes, however, that any studio that takes on the IP would have to surpass StarCraft 2 in terms of gameplay to gain a foothold. The report also notes that StarCraft could potentially be adapted into a MOBA or card game, but such titles would suffer from not being able to make use of the StarCraft IP to its full extent.

As for Overwatch Mobile, according to the report, the fact that distribution rights would be limited to Korea and Japan has been a sticking point, with companies wanting global rights instead.

Blizzard has been largely quiet when it comes to StarCraft, since announcing back in 2020 that no more content would be developed for StarCraft 2. The last major release in the franchise was StarCraft: Remastered all the way back in 2017.

A rumour from September 2024 indicated that Blizzard has been quietly working on a new game in the StarCraft franchise. Rather than being an RTS follow-up to StarCraft 2, however, the rumour indicates that the game is instead a shooter. The project, stated at the time to be in its early stages of development, was being headed up by the team from the since-cancelled Odyssey project. Far Cry veteran developer Dan Hay is said to be heading up the development of this spinoff.

More recently, StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection have both been available to play on PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate since November last year. The multiplayer parts of StarCraft 2 is available as a free-to-play game through Blizzard’s Battle.net launcher.

Overwatch 2, on the other hand, is also available as a free-to-play title across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. For more details, check out the animated trailer released for Freja from back in March. Also check out details of Overwatch 2 Season 15.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 comes to the service on October 25th for cloud, console, and PC. However, as recently announced, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone will also get cloud support on the same day (at least for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers). Ashen also returns on October 29th for cloud, consoles, and PC.

For PC players craving Halloween hijinks, Dead Island 2 debuts for PC via Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on October 31st. StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection follow on November 5th.

In an update on Xbox Wire, Blizzard Entertainment has announced that StarCraft: Remastered and StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection will release for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on November 5.

Both real-time strategy titles’ multiplayer components are already free-to-play, but this will also give Game Pass subscribers on PC access to their single-player offerings without any additional costs. And yes, that will also include all of StarCraft 2’s expansion campaigns – Heart of the Swarm, Legacy of the Void, and Nova Covert Ops –on top of the Wings of Liberty base game.

Of course, our wait for a new StarCraft game continues, and doesn’t show any signs of ending anytime soon, but the series’ excellent single-player content all becoming readily available via Game Pass is certainly good news nonetheless.

Hopping on the Black Friday Sale bandwagon, Blizzard Entertainment has announced discounts for all of its major titles. This includes Overwatch which is also free to play until December 4th. New players can try out all of the heroes, maps and modes without any restriction in that time frame.

If you want to continue playing, then the full game will be on sale. The Standard Edition is 20 percent off while the Legendary Edition is 50 percent off. Any progress made in the current trial will carry over, allowing you to retain any cosmetics and in-game achievements earned.

Other titles that are currently discounted include Diablo 3: Eternal Collection (26 percent off), StarCraft 2: Campaign Collection (50 percent off) and World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth (50 percent off). You can even pick up Activision’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for 16 percent off. As for Overwatch, stay tuned for more details on its next big patch which should be out in the coming days.

We’re nearing that time of the year again when Blizzard Entertainment holds BlizzCon, its annual convention devoted to its current IPs. That means the virtual tickets are also on sale, offering an All-Access look at different panels and interviews outside of the opening ceremony and esports tournaments. You also get some nifty cosmetics and in-game items.

The star of the cosmetic line-up is Overwatch which includes Legendary skins for Symmetra and Genji from Warcraft. The former gets Tyrande Whisperwind while the latter receive Illidan Genji because reasons. The virtual ticket costs $49.99 – here are some of the other items you can get for their respective games.

Diablo 3 will also receive some commemorative wings with more details on the same to be revealed later. BlizzCon 2019 is set to take place on November 1st to 2nd in Anaheim, California. Rumours have circulated in the past few months regarding reveals for Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2, the latter focusing more on PvE. Stay tuned in the meantime for more information.

Arthas – Warcraft 3

The tragic tale of Crown Prince Arthas Menethil, knight of the Silver Hand was a man of principal, and who’s tragic fall came from his deeply seated sense of duty to his people. His ever more desperate bids to keep the kingdom of Lordaeron from falling to the Plague of Undeath caused him to take up the cursed blade Frostmourne, which led to the once proud hero eventually becoming the dreaded Lich King.

Blizzard Entertainment has announced the schedule for BlizzCon 2018, the company’s annual convention for all things World of Warcraft, Overwatch, StarCraft, Heroes of the Storm, and much more. As it turns, Diablo will be appearing as well. Not only will it kick off the convention at 12:30 PM PST on November 2nd with “Diablo: What’s Next”, you can also look forward to the “Diablo: World and Q&A” at 5:45 PM PST on November 3rd.

Of course, “What’s Next” sessions will also be held for Overwatch, Hearthstone, World of Warcraft, and Heroes of the Storm on November 2nd. StarCraft 2 fans shouldn’t worry – the “What’s Next” session for the RTS will be held on November 3rd at 12:30 PM PST.

The Overwatch World Cup quarterfinals will all be held on November 2nd, starting from 12:15 PM PST. The semifinals will be hosted on November 3rd from 11:30 AM PST onwards, with the finals coming at 3:45 PM PST. E-sports tournaments for Heartstone, World of Warcraft, and StarCraft 2 will also be held, so check out the full schedule here for more information. BlizzCon 2018 will run from November 2nd to November 3rd.

Mike Tyson- Mike Tyson’s Punch Out

Iron Mike’s legendary performance in the world of boxing is as well documented as his fall from grace and infamous tattoo, but his early appearance in the world of Nintendo has gone down as one of the moments that would define “Nintendo Hard”. In a display somewhat similar to the real life events, the AI was only able to deliver KO punches against the player character, Little Mac for the first round. His fast, hard to read movements made just surviving long enough to have a shot against Tyson difficult enough, but unless you were omnipresent, you weren’t going to last that long anyways.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

Destruction sandbox Mercenaries 2 caps off its story in the only way it possibly could – by giving the player a mini nuke to break open the enemy’s bunker. Going forward, it’s possible to purchase more mini-nukes, thus allowing for more wanton nuclear destruction across the map. It’s a living, we suppose.

Bloodborne

Veterans of From Software’s Dark Souls series were in for something different with Bloodborne. Though combat was mechanically similar, it was faster with the ability to side-step along with dodge-roll. Shields were pretty non-essential, Visceral attacks were awesome and sometimes, attacking foes to regenerate lost health was the best option. For those who’ve never played a From Software game, Bloodborne takes time to properly get a hold of (especially the bosses) but it delivers a rich story, fully-realized world and excellent combat.
