New Diablo “Projects” To Be Announced Later This Year

Diablo 4? Diablo on Switch? Something else?

Blizzard has confirmed in a new video shared on Facebook that it is currently working on multiple new Diablo projects, with at least a few of them that it plans on sharing information on later this year. As for what these might be, that’s anyone’s guess- Diablo 3 has been rumored for the Nintendo Switch for a while now, and it’s not unreasonable to expect it might be one of those, but I daresay Blizzard wouldn’t just be teasing a port of a seven year old game like that.

No, I think the long awaited Diablo 4 may also be one of those projects Blizzard plans to unveil- either that, or it is a new expansion for Diablo 3 (although, again, Diablo 3 is now old enough that ordinarily, you would expect a new entry in the franchise at this point).

Though Blizzard didn’t specify when this year it intends on sharing more information about these new Diablo projects, announcements at BlizzCon, its own annual convention, are not unreasonable to expect. So we should know just what they are talking about in a few months either way.
