Diablo 3 Actually Coming to Nintendo Switch – Rumour

According to unnamed sources, the announcement is still several months away.

Diablo 3 Rise of the Necromancer-01

Blizzard Entertainment can be quite the company when it comes to teasing games. When it tweeted out a GIF of a Diablo nightlight being switched on and off, people were quick to guess that Diablo 3 was coming to the Nintendo Switch. However, the company then turned around and outright said that the action RPG was not coming to Nintendo’s console.

However, Eurogamer says it’s spoken to sources that confirm Diablo 3 is indeed heading to the Switch. Whether it will include Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer hasn’t been confirmed nor has a release date. At this point, it’s still a few more months before the game is officially announced (likely by E3 2018). Take this all with a grain of salt regardless.

Either way, it would be interesting to see a Diablo title on the Switch. It wouldn’t be the first time a Blizzard game released on a Nintendo console (see: StarCraft on the Nintendo 64) but Diablo 3 on the go would certainly be cool.
