The Division 2 Will Receive More Maps, PvP Modes, and Story-Driven Missions As Free Post-Launch Content

As part of Ubisoft's "ongoing commitment to keep our dedicated community energized and playing."

Ubisoft have been making a point of assuring players that The Division 2 will aim to have a steady stream of endgame content that will keep players glued to it, while their promise to make sure that it’s all free has also made lot of fans quite excited about it. Recently, in a reveal of the game’s Dark Zone and PvP elements, it was revealed that it’d be launching with two modes for the latter, but speaking with The Koalition, Senior Producer Tony Sturtzel at Red Storm, who are assisting Ubisoft Massive with the game’s development, promised that there will be more content to come following the game’s launch.

Sturtzel said that though the game will only be launching with two PvP modes and “a few maps”, more maps, PvP modes, as well as story-focused missions will be added on to the game following its launch, and all of it will be released for free, as Ubisoft have said earlier.

“There definitely will be more modes added as free post-launch content,” said Sturtzel. “Our current goal is to ship this game with a few maps uniquely built for the best PvP experiences. Our decision to create from an endgame-first mentality means that fans can expect more content drops in the future after completing the campaign. Additional story-driven missions and map expansions will also be free as our ongoing commitment to keep our dedicated community energized and playing.”

If you’re curious about the game’s content by way of the main campaign, there’s going to be plenty of that too- apparently, the main story’s going to be roughly 40 hours long. We recently got story-focused trailer for the game as well. Take a look through here.

The Division 2 launches on March 15 for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
