The Division 2 Dark Zone

Ubisoft has released two new videos for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, covering the Dark Zone and Conflict. The former is a PvEvP zone that will be familiar to players of the first game, while the latter is the organized PvP component of the sequel. Check out both videos below for a better idea on what’s in store.

Instead of a single concentrated Dark Zone, The Division 2 will have three distinct Dark Zones in Washington, D.C. Each has their own story to tell, but the first two will be normalized. That means players will be more or less on even footing in terms of attack and defense, ensuring new players stand a chance. The third Dark Zone will be Occupied, however, and will offer a much tougher challenge for better gear. Other components, like the return of Rogue 2.0, the Thieves’ Den for Rogues to clear their anti-Agent status, and “Clean” loot for players to earn and equip without worrying about losing it are also revealed.

Then there’s Conflict, which essentially offers two PvP modes of 4v4 combat – Skirmish and Domination. While Skirmish is about killing enemy players, Domination is about capturing Zones and accruing points. Gear can also be earned from these modes, and damage/defense values are normalized.

The Division 2 is out on March 12th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The private beta will be going live on February 7th for those who sign-up or pre-order.
