Vanquish Remaster Listing Appears for Xbox One

Releasing in February 2020, the remaster will support 4K/60 FPS on Xbox One X.

Sega’s Vanquish never really got its sequel (despite rumors of the same) but current gen remaster seems to be on the cards. According to a recent Microsoft Store listing, Vanquish is being remastered for Xbox One. It will release on February 18th 2020 and support 4K resolution along with 60 frames per second on Xbox One X.

Developed by Bayonetta and Astral Chain developer PlatinumGames, Vanquish first released in October 2010 for Xbox 360 and PS3. It saw good critical reception on both platforms and sold over 800,000 copies worldwide as of March 2011. A PC port released in March 2017 and featured 4K resolution support and an uncapped frame rate.

There’s speculation then that the Xbox One version is based off of the PC port given its resolution and frame rate. Not that we’re complaining, especially given how buttery smooth the game ran on PC. The remaster should be coming to PS4 as well so stay tuned for an official announcement from Sega soon.
