Watch Dogs Receiving AMD and Nvidia Optimized Drivers on Launch Day

Graphical issues with Ubisoft's open world title may be resolved sooner than we thought.

If you’ve gotten your hands on a recently leaked copy of Watch Dogs for PC (we won’t ask how) and you’re worried about technical issues with the visuals, then you’ll be happy to know that new graphics drivers for both AMD and Nvidia hardware will be available tomorrow when the game launches.

This was confirmed by Guru3D member Hilbert Hagedoorn who stated that, “BTW both AMD and NVIDIA WILL release an optimized driver tomorrow. We already have access to these and NO we can not distribute it just yet.“

Watch Dogs PC players have reported frame rate drops and stuttering when playing the game, experiencing the issue on hardware as powerful as a GeForce GTX 780 Ti. If these drivers indeed launch when the game becomes available, we can only hope that Ubisoft nips many of these graphical issues in the bud.

Watch Dogs will also be available for Xbox One, PS4, PS3 and Xbox 360.
