New information has begun to emerge for Machinegames’ Wolfenstein: The New Order thanks to recent previews and interviews, the most prominent being that it would run at 60 FPS across all platforms. SCEA Social Media Specialist Justin Massongill also confirmed with the studio that the game will run at 1080p resolution on the PlayStation 4.
It’s also been revealed that the single-player will last for 15+ hours in the main campaign (still no multiplayer though) with the story continuing onwards from the very Wolfenstein, Wolf 3D. There will be a tech tree in the game which can be unlocked by completing various in-game challenges. There will also be a ton of gibs and hints that you’ll fight the Nazis on the moon. Those still skeptical of the game can at least rest assured of its pedigree, since devs from Chronicles of Riddick and The Darkness are involved.
Plus B.J. will be able to dual wield sniper rifles. Yes, it’s ridiculous on purpose.
Wolfenstein: The New Order releases on May 20th in North America and May 23rd in Europe for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4 and PC.
