Activision has revealed multiplayer and campaign gameplay for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War with Zombies being all that remains. Fortunately, after fans scoured the PawnTakesPawn site, a new teaser was found for the mode. Treyarch further confirmed the reveal on Twitter for September 30th at 10 AM PT, promising a “new Zombies story.”
There haven’t been too many details on Zombies till now – it was found in the datamined files for The Red Door, the internal alpha for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War that leaked ahead of its announcement. It could be set during the Cold War period (much like the rest of the game), returning to a more grounded setting after the escapades in previous games. Of course, given the insane lore behind Zombies, it wouldn’t be strange to see it part of the continuity.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is out on November 13th. It will release for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Unlike previous titles in the series, it retails for $70 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The multiplayer beta is slated to go live in October so stay tuned for more details.
