Taking a break from major new announcements, the PS5 Showcase changed gears to give updates on major upcoming releases, and showed off a solid chunk of gameplay footage from the single player campaign of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, developed by Raven Software.
The footage begins with Mason, Woods, and co. sneaking through a jungle to take out a target at an airfield. Mason pulls off a slick-looking sniper kill, which leads to an explosive chase in a jeep through the landing strip. There’s chaos all around, a barrage of gunfire, a section where you control an RC car, and more. It looks suitably action-packed. Check it out below.
Meanwhile, it was also announced that a playable alpha of the game’s multiplayer mode will also be available to everyone on PS4 starting this Friday. You can check out extensive new multiplayer details through here. The beta period begins in October.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will launch this November for PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
