Activision and Treyarch have pulled back the curtain on what fans can expect from the multiplayer component of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, having spoken about various new maps, modes, and gameplay improvements bring introduced with the upcoming shooter. When, though, can players go hands-on with that stuff?
It’s been confirmed that the beta period of the game will run for over 10 days in October. Those who have pre-ordered the game on PS4 will be able to jump into the beta on October 8. Meanwhile, the PS4 beta will become open to all players on October 10.
Xbox One and PC players who’ve pre-ordered the game will get access to the beta on October 15. Finally, the beta will be open to all players across all platforms starting October 17, and will run up to October 19.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will release in full for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 13. It’s also confirmed to be coming to Xbox Series X and PS5, but a release date for those next-gen versions hasn’t yet been confirmed. Stay tuned for more updates.
