Previews for CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077 have been going live as various publications went hands-on for roughly four hours with the game. Arekkz Gaming is one and showcases various aspects of playing as a Nomad, a Life Path that starts players outside of Night City in the Badlands. Check it out below.
The number of choices and interactions are already pretty strong, especially when pushing aside a mechanic to fix one’s own car. Combat is also shaping up well, whether it’s overheating an enemy’s cyberware to set them on fire or melee battles. Night City also looks particularly snazzy, culminating in a car chase/shootout. What’s impressive is that the other Life Paths are completely different and will result in a drastically different experience for players.
Overall, Cyberpunk 2077 is shaping up well even as CD Projekt RED continues to polish the overall gameplay and quash any bugs. It’s slated to release on November 19th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. You can check out the newest trailer here and gameplay of the Braindance mechanic here. There’s also spin-off anime called Cyberpunk: Edgerunners coming in 2022 courtesy of Studio Trigger.
