cyberpunk 2077

As promised, CD Projekt RED highlighted a new gameplay mechanic of Cyberpunk 2077 – Braindance. This is essentially the VR software of the future and allows viewers to immerse themselves in different audio-visual phenomenon. The latest gameplay trailer showcases how players will use Braindance to investigate different scenes.

Functioning as somewhat of a video editing software, Braindance allows for scrolling back and forth through a timeline. The idea is to provide a “keyhole” into the lives of residents in Night City, functioning as more of a story-telling tool. It’s intriguing and the way it’s used to idea a perpetrator in the footage is definitely a step above the usual investigating mechanics.

Cyberpunk 2077 is out on November 19th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC after another delay. It will be next-gen ready on the same day with Xbox One and PS4 players having free upgrades to Xbox Series X and PS5 versions when the consoles launch. Stay tuned for more details as Night City Wire continues.
