Destiny 2 Servers Currently Down for Maintenance

The 24-hour maintenance period will conclude at 10 AM PST on February 28th, when the new Lightfall expansion becomes available.

As previously announced, servers for Bungie’s Destiny 2 are currently undergoing maintenance. Update 7.0.0.1 is available for all platforms to pre-load, with players able to log in at 9 AM PST on February 28th. Maintenance will conclude at 10 AM PST on the same day.

The 24-hour maintenance period is to prepare for Lightfall, the next major expansion for the live-service looter shooter. It sees players venturing to Neptune, specifically the futuristic city of Neomuna, where the Cloud Striders live. Ushering its own Golden Age, the city is thriving, but it quickly comes under threat by The Witness and Calus, his disciple.

Along with assisting the Cloud Striders, players will learn about Strand, which grants three new sub-classes – Broodweavers for Warlocks, Berserkers for Titans and Threadrunners for Hunter. Each can take advantage of grapples, Threadlings that seek out enemies, Tangles which explode and suspend foes, and more. Head here to learn more about its Aspects and Fragments.

Stay tuned for more details when Lightfall goes live today on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC.
