Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Mankind Divided Have Collectively Sold Over 12 Million Units

The Embracer Group reveals that the two latest mainline instalments in the Deus Ex franchise have collectively sold over 12 million copes to date.

The Embracer Group is set to acquire Square Enix’s North American studios, which will see the former taking ownership of studios like Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal and franchises like Tomb Raider and Deus Ex. While only time will tell what the future holds for those developers and franchises, the Embracer Group has been taking the time to commemorate the commercial success of the properties that it has acquired by revealing some of their sales numbers.

In addition to having provided updated lifetime sales numbers for the Tomb Raider series, the Embracer Group has also done the same for Deus Ex. As per the company, Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided have collectively sold over 12 million units worldwide. Sales for Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director’s Cut are also included, but those of the original Deus Ex and Deus Ex: Invisible War aren’t.

As for whether what the future holds for Deus Ex, that remains to be seen. Fans of the series will be desperate for a new instalment, while the Embracer Group has said that developer Eidos Montreal has multiple games in the works– though official word on what those games are will likely not be arriving in the near future.
