Codemasters’ DiRT 5 will have an extensive Career mode with strong narrative focus when it launches later this year. That includes Path Finder events, which are all about off-road racing in environments with lots of up-hill slopes. The developer has released a new work-in-progress gameplay trailer showcasing the same – check it out below.
Path Finder events aren’t as high speed as other races but that’s because speed isn’t the defining factor. You’ll be managing big jumps and treacherous turns on dirt-covered hills in a rock bouncer with realistic suspension and feedback. These events are described as having “the most hardcore terrain” in the whole DiRT off-road series so be prepared.
DiRT 5 is out on October 9th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. It launches later this year for PS5 and Xbox Series X with a release on Google Stadia in early 2021. For more details on the various car classes that you’ll be handling, head here.
