Codemasters’ DiRT 5 is looking like an exciting entry in the franchise, especially for fans of the racing genre, and with not long left until its launch, people have gearing up to dive into it. But it seems we’ll have to wait just a little bit longer.
Taking to Twitter, Codemasters recently confirmed that the game’s release date has been pushed back by a week. Previously scheduled to release on October 9, the game will now launch on October 16. Meanwhile, those who buy the Amplified Edition will still get three days’ early access, but now on October 13 instead of October 6. There’s no reason given for why the game has been delayed, but the good news is it’s just a week more, which is pretty negligible.
Following its launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 16, DiRT 5 will also be coming to Xbox Series X and PS5 later in the year, and will support free next-gen upgrades on both consoles. It will also feature 120 FPS options on both Xbox Series X and PS5. Meanwhile, a Stadia version of the game is also confirmed for some time in 2021.
