DiRT 5

It’s time to get in the mud and get all nice and dirty once more with Codemasters’ DiRT 5. The game was announced as a crossgen title, properly revealed at today’s Inside Xbox (you can see the announcement trailer through here). While the game is coming to current systems as well, what’s going to make the next gen one attractive? Well, besides being on your shiny new toy, it’s going to give some nice options to go fast and look good.

Director Robert Karp talked in depth about DiRT 5‘s gameplay in the post-Inside Xbox talk, and in it he revealed that on the Xbox Series X you will have some choice. There will be an option for 4K and 60 FPS, for instance. He also said you can go beyond as there will be a choice for a staggering 120 FPS, though he did not mention what resolution that mode would run at, most likely at either 1080p or a dynamic 4K one we see now on the Pro and Xbox One X. Presumably, this will also be on the PS5 version, since it has been announced to come to Sony’s new console as well, but as of now we can only say it for the Xbox Series X. You can check out the whole talk below.

DiRT 5 will come to the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PC and Stadia. It will utilize Xbox Smart Delivery between Xbox platforms. The game is slated to come out this October, but it’s unclear if all editions will be out at the same time.
