Though EA Play Live is promising to be an eventful show, with Battlefield 2042 set to receive more details and a Dead Space remake heavily rumoured to get an announcement, BioWare fans aren’t going to have much to look forward to, with the developer recently having confirmed that neither Dragon Age 4 nor the next Mass Effect will be shown. That said, Dragon Age 4 fans have at least something to tide them over. Sort of.
Christian Dailey, studio head at BioWare Austin, recently took to Twitter to apologize for the game’s confirmed absence at the show later this month, before adding that the development team has “a lot of moment” and has been making “great progress.” Dailey has also shared some more new artwork (not for the first time), and adds, “We are excited to share more when the time is right.”
Not much is known about Dragon Age 4, with next to no gameplay footage of the game having been shown since its reveal two and a half years ago. We do know that it will be set in the Tevinter Imperium, and a new hero has been teased, while reports have also suggested that contrary to early development plans, it’s going to stick to being single player RPG.
It’s also not going to be out until at least April 2022 (maybe even beyond that), so it’s going to be a long wait.
