Dragon Age 4

Electronic Arts offered some new details on its upcoming EA Play Live, confirming that the show would run for about 40 minutes. There will be announcements for what’s coming next to Battlefield 2042 and Apex Legends along with the first gameplay for Lost in Random and “a couple of other games” to highlight. Unfortunately, the next Dragon Age and Mass Effect titles won’t be present.

BioWare confirmed on Twitter that it was “hard at work creating the next @dragonage and @masseffect
games and have some exciting stuff coming to @SWTOR this year.” It thus won’t be “showing anything” at EA Play Live, though the next expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic, Legacy of the Sith, has since been unveiled. While the next Mass Effect was only announced at The Game Awards 2020, the next Dragon Age was confirmed at The Game Awards 2018 so it seemed likely that the latter could appear.

Unfortunately this won’t be the case but that doesn’t rule out either title from receiving new trailers at other events down the line (like, say, The Game Awards 2021). EA Play Live is also rumored to feature announcements for a new Dead Space title and Battlefield 2042’s multiplayer alpha so there should be some significant announcements. It will broadcast live at 10 AM PT on July 22nd so stay tuned for more coverage.
