Dragon Age: Dreadwolf and Skate Will Release After April 2024

EA hasn't listed the two titles among its list of games that are set to launch this fiscal year, which runs until March 31 next year.

The wait for Dragon Age: Dreadwolf has been long and torturous. That a new mainline instalment in the series was in development was officially confirmed by BioWare nearly five years ago, and in the time since then, we have seen or heard little about it beyond vague teases and concept art. We didn’t even know the game’s name until June 2022. And unfortunately, the wait for the RPG is going to drag on for a while yet, it seems.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is not going to be out until after April 2024, according to publisher EA. In its recent quarterly earnings report, the company shared list of all of its titles that have either already released in FY24 (which runs until March 31, 2024) or are due out in that period, with the likes of EA Sports FC, EA Sports PGA Tour, Super Mega Baseball 4, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth, F1 23, and Immortals of Aveum. Unfortunately for Dragon Age fans, Dreadwolf is nowhere to be found, indicating that it will release after April 2024.

In October last year, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf hit major development milestone, with BioWare confirming that the project had hit alpha and was playable in its entirety from start to finish. More recently, the developer offered some brief insight on the RPG’s customization and progression systems, while leaks have also claimed that the game will feature action-based hack-and-slash combat similar to God of War. Read more on that through here.

Meanwhile, EA has also confirmed that Skate will not be releasing before April 2024 either, with the reboot of the skating franchise also omitted from its list of FY24 titles. It’s been previously confirmed that Skate will be free-to-play title, though developer Full Circle has stressed that it will not feature paid loot boxes or pay-to-win mechanics.

EA also mentions that it has two additional titles due out before April 2024 that haven’t yet been announced, namely a racing game (which is likely to be Codemasters’ WRC title) and an unnamed EA Sports title.
