Fallout 76’s turnaround has been quite remarkable, in that even though it’s still far from being a flawless game, it’s improved significantly in the over three years that it’s been out, thanks to updates, expansions, and patches being pushed out for the online RPG on a consistent basis. As you may have expected, that’s going to continue in 2022 as well.
Bethesda has revealed brief roadmap of what to expect from the game in 2022, and there’s some interesting stuff to look forward to. Spring will bring the “Invaders from Beyond Update”, which will see aliens invading Appalachia, making for all-new Public Events and even random encounters, as well as the introduction of season 8 and a new Fallout Worlds update. Summer will also bring new Public Events with the “Test Your Metal” update, which will add arena fights against deadly automatons, on top of another new season and scoreboard progression updates for Fallout 1st.
Expeditions – The Pitt, announced last year, will be arriving in Fall, allowing players to visit post-nuclear Pittsburgh. This will also bring new NPCs, enemies, missions, rewards, and more- and yes, another new season. Finally, Winter will bring the Nuka World on Tour update, which will see a traveling roadshow arriving in Appalachia, going hand-in-hand with another new season, a new region boss, and more Public events.
Fallout 76 is available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and is playable on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S via backward compatibility.
